Damascus Cham Holding will manage investment under Al-Tala'e Park to build a storey-garage

The Damascus Provincial Council decided in a meeting on last Wednesday; to assign Damascus Cham Holding, which manages and invests in the property of Damascus Governorate, to invest Al-Tala'e Park on Mezzeh Highway with a developmental vision aiming to construct a storey-garage underneath park grounds, provided that the investor in partnership with Damascus Cham Holding rehabilitates and develops the park as a condition to invest underneath the park as a storey garage. The decision comes in response to the need of the Mezzeh Highway to have a garage. The solution was to create a garage under the garden, an approach that Damascus governorate would follow in the rest of the parks in the capital by establishing garages underneath because there is no land inside the capital that can be turned into a garage. Damascus Provincial Council approved ownership transfer for what is under the park to Damascus Cham Holding, which manages the governorate's properties, in preparation to strike a partnership with the investor to construct a first-of-a-kind garage in the capital that lacks garages in presence of large traffic and parking difficulty. The park land will remain the same and can't be altered as it is a public property, but the investor will develop, decorate, and rehabilitate the park to attract families and children to stroll and enjoy. The park area is 40 thousand square meters, which will provide the opportunity to establish a large garage under it accommodating a large number of cars.
