A Delegation of 26 Syrian Businessmen Will Visit the UAE on January 19 at the Invitation of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Union of Syrian Chambers of Commerce announced that a delegation of 26 Syrian businessmen will visit UAE on January 19 at the invitation of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation will be headed by the Secretary General of the Union, Mohamed Hamsho, includes members of the Syrian Exporters Union, Mohammad Al-Sawah, President of Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Samer Al-Dibs, President of Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce, Wassim Al-Qattan. The delegation will also include the head of Homs Chamber of Industry Mohammed Labib Al-Ekhwan, board member Firas Takieddine of the Union of Exporters, a number of chambers' board members and businessmen from several governorates, in addition to the CEO of Damascus Cham Holding Company and the Director of Investor Relations. The delegation will hold meetings with board members of a number of commerce and industry chambers in the UAE, in addition to a number of UAE investors and Syrian expatriates. A delegation from the UAE's Damac Real Estate Company visited Damascus last month, where they met a number of real estate companies. The delegation also visited Marota City and got acquainted with investment opportunities. The visit comes as the first economic cooperation between Syria and the UAE, after the re-opening UAE embassy in Damascus at the end of December after years of closure.
